Sorting Emails
Gmail's large storage quota means that removing emails is rarely necessary. However, there may be times when you need to delete emails in bulk, such as when dealing with personal emails after a recent breakup or when you've hit your storage limit. Here's how to swiftly and easily erase all of your emails in Gmail.
It's worth mentioning that deleting large volumes of email through the Gmail mobile app isn't possible right now. You'd have to erase each email individually by dragging it to the Trash bin. If you have a huge amount of emails, this would be quite time consuming. As a result, it is strongly advised that you use a desktop browser.
You have three options for filtering the Gmail emails you want to delete. If you just want to delete emails that match specific search criteria, enter your search strings in the Gmail search bar and click Search.
Alternatively, click on a pre-existing label in the left-hand sidebar to see all emails linked with that label.
Finally, you can select All Mail to receive all of your emails. If you want to get rid of every email you've ever sent or received, this is the only way to go.
Click the Select button at the top of the screen once you've picked the emails you wish to delete in any way you desire. This will draw attention to all of the emails on that page. Then click Delete to remove them from the page.
